This course covers the essential principles and practices related to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) or applicable state/territory law and regulations. Current HVNL legislation, state/territory laws and industry standards relating to transport activities.

Chain of responsibility obligations, shared responsibility principles and primary duty requirements.

Identification, assessment and control of transport activity risks, including speed, fatigue, mass limits, dimensions, load restraint and vehicle standards.

Reporting and documentation requirements for transport activity risks and hazards.

Responsibilities across all parties in the chain of responsibility and the consequences of non-compliance.
