The Academy of Career Training was established as a Registered Training Organisation in 2001. We specialise in courses in the resource sector and in work, health and safety. Academy Staff

Kimberly Halter

The Academy Director, Kimberly Halter, has a Masters in Education and over 25 years of experience in developing programs to meet specific client needs.

In 2001 Kimberly registered the Academy of Career Training and now consults for other Registered Training Organisations to assist them to meet Vocational Education and Training standards.

Additionally she has worked with youth at risk of offending, persons with special training needs, and she has developed programs for children and youth with challenging behaviours.

Kimberly is director of the Academy and manages compliance.

Glen N. Halter


The Business Manager for the Academy, Glen N. Halter, holds a Bachelors of Adult Vocational Education and Human Resource Development from Griffith University.

Glen’s career includes developing leaders in the Outdoor Education field and mentoring Health Safety and Environment (HSE) advisors. He has been teaching and designing training since 1986 and he has trained thousands of students and hundreds of leaders and instructors in many fields. Glen also has a keen business sense and is able to turn a business around from losing money to making a profit. Glen has been a consultant to small business for 25 years.

Glen teaches courses for the Academy in Work Health and safety. Glen has worked as a safety and training officer in the oil and gas industry and now designs training material and RPL kits for the resource sector.
